Parent Participation is Crucial in Student Success

Go Driving School provides a Parent Night at the beginning of each course and invites all parents to attend, with their student(s) if possible. Please check your course calendar or call the instructor at (253) 862-0663 to determine the date your student's Parent Night will be held.
Parent Night is will outline the course content; clarify student, parent, and instructor responsibilities; educate parent and student about the Intermediate License; and discuss other relevant and timely topics.
Students whose parents are actively involved in their driver education experience are most likely to pass the driver license written and practical exams on the first attempts.
Go Driving parents agree to practice driving skills with their student a minimum of 2 hours a week during the student's participation in a driver education course.
The Department of Licensing requires students "get at least 50 hours of supervised driving practice with someone who has been licensed for 5 years or more, including 10 hours at night."
Go Driving School was selected to participate in the DOL's Basic Knowledge Test Pilot Pilot Program. Our final exam has been approved to give students who pass on their first attempt credit for the written Basic Knowledge Exam required to earn their driver license. This effort is being made to save parents and students time at the Licensing Services Offices. It is a great asset to parents and students who choose to attend our school.
Parental permission is required for student drivers to receive their driver permits and/or licenses.
Visit the DOL's website to download the Washington Parent Guide to Teen Driving. This manual is also offered free of charge at Parent Night. Clicking on the icons below with help you in the licensing process at the DOL; the documents are not necessary to sign up for our teen course, however.
